Dyeing process of leather.

Leather crafts of Uzu are made from carefully selected cowhide.

lethers are originally this color⬇︎

We use tanned leather called Tanro(japanese word),
which is tanned by tannin, not chemicals.
Tanro is “leather for tannin dressed batik” for short.

It is leather made easy to dye by removing the oil content.

It is costly, but perfect for indigo and persimmon dyeing.

After dyeing the cowhide which is delicate to water,
we wipe and then dry the leather in shade.

Natural dyed leather made with so much care for it not to crinkle up.

It takes at least 2days to dye.

And after dyeing, lethers became these colors⬇︎

You can enjoy unique colors of natural dye!!!
