Hi, My name is Daruma.

I turned 1 year and 9 days old today.
At only 1 year old I am the manager of UZU.

Managing the store is one of my jobs.

Today I am going to talk about UZU’s kitchen.

Originally, there was no wall.

The wall was built in a hurry because of Food Safety Regulation Laws.
My parents asked Mr. Tenjin who is a carpenter in Nishio City.

He did a really good job.
I was very impressed.

I thought my daddy was doing a great job at renovations
but he doesn’t have the skill of a carpenter.

Mr. Tenjin is a real professional.
My parents did the plastering and installed a door.
It wasn’t installed well and makes noise.

But I kind of like it that way.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

There was a step in front of the kitchen when the store opened.
Many elderly people would trip over it.
The step had to be repaired quickly.

Checking every detail is one of my jobs.

Our glasses are original.
I heard they were engraved by some kind of machine.

I am always drinking Calpis.
Calpis is white so you can’t see the letters on the glass…..

It doesn’t make a difference to me.
